Be sure to bring your pen and paper in readiness to write down any stats the great man brings up. ;)

With the Winter Olympics now down and the amount of down hill skiers, oops I mean players heading to Central United I'm surprised there isn’t more talk of them on here lately?

I thought there had been a fair bit of talk already about them haha?

I'll admit, when looking to arrange a trial game this year, Units were one of my first options - until I saw the influx of recruits and quality and thought stuff that, don't want to lose to a D7 club!

Seems to be a pattern with a cluster of these northern suburbs clubs. Blokes just bounce between them depending on potential of success.

Well respected coach at the helm who played many games for the Units, why wouldn't some players return to their grassroots club?

There's a lot of comradeship out there through their A's & B's, can't really knock that.

Ever thought it’s just a bunch of old blokes who have families and aren’t interested in playing
Anything to serious anymore or higher divisions wanting to have a kick with there mates ?
Wouldn’t think there’s anything wrong with that

It's a plague. Big cultural issue facing all lower leagues.

Seems to be either easy wins and a flag shot or nothing.

Having said that, Central United are a bit different, they've struggled for a while. Deserve a bit of success.

Any teams got any trial games this weekend?
Marion are playing Macclesfield @ mt barker on the 18th. Should be a good hit out.

I played the majority of my juniors there (under 9's - 15's) and have a group of close mates that I played senior footy with at EP there. Two birds with one stone for me, have some fun and finish off my career at my junior club and with close mates. If there is success along the way then that is a bonus!

What's your fascination with downhill skiing, your second post on it in a week. Is it a game you play on the couch with a mate each side of you?

We'd probably both get BoG. At this rate limiting you to 17 goals wouldn't be a bad result.

However, I don't know what I am doing footy wise. I've moved to the semi-Country and more than likely won't be much more than a fill in. Even contemplating having a kick with the new local!

you having a run Saturday night old mate?

Reckon he's got bigger fish to fry next weekend than kicking a dozen on you.. like winning his A1 cricket final. ;)
