Did any of the cricketers play?
Units were missing a few including Woody, and Westies the same, but feedback from a couple sources, including from Units was that SW were very impressive.
Young, quick, fit and well structured.. ran rings around Units (and if Fenwick played, that's some bloody big rings).

1. West Croydon 2. Elizabeth 3. Trinity OS 4. Fitzroy 5. Salisbury West -------------------------- 6. Para Hills 7. Adelaide Lutheran 8. Rosewater 9. Brahma Lodge 10. Greenacres Reckon top 7-8 sides looks real tough, Brahma capable too if they can pick up a few more and keep them fit. The big questions will be whether Westies and Rosewater can behave for 18 rounds, and if Lutheran can manage the school holiday period ok.

It was a good hit out and if you call 7 Goals a pumping then we where pumped. Would be surprised if Westies didn't play finals with what they have recruited and you are correct they are very young and quick. Was told they also had 4 or 5 ring ins play, so not sure if you can take to much out of a trial game or not. We got plenty out of it, Would like to thank Frank for the trial and wish Westies the best for the season but the lights are probably not up to playing a night game it was hard to watch.

Meadows had a few out for cricket finals as did we.
Isn't Big Nick going overseas for a holiday? How many round does he miss?

its better than not playing at all & only have 1 trial heading into round 1,getting someone at such short notice was good

Ramming23 Where will Fitzroy finish and why do you think Elizabeth will be a better side than West Croydon?
My apologies - I completely forgot about Fitzroy! Here is my amended ladder;
1. Elizabeth
2. West Croydon
3. Brahma Lodge
4. Para Hills
5. Trinity OS
6. Adelaide Lutheran
7. Greenacres
8. Rosewater
9. Salisbury West
10. Fitzroy Elizabeth were a strong side at their best last year and have played together for a few years now which puts them slightly ahead of WC for me.
Here is my real predicted ladder for this year after taking the p*ss out of Arch in December last year
1. Trinity OS
2. West Croydon
3. Fitzroy
4. Elizabeth
5. Salisbury West
6. Para Hills
7. Adelaide Lutheran
8. Brahma Lodge
9. Rosewater
10. Greenacres
Brownlow: Lindsay (Fitzroy)
Coleman: Woodcock (WC)

Thats the highest I have seen Trinity placed.. Realize Cotter is back, have they improved enough to leapfrog Elizabeth/West Croydon?
