I can relate to that. I decided barbers were getting too expensive in the 1970s and took to cutting my own hair and had done so ever since.
The new ladies in my life says it is not tidy enough at the back and has been pressurring me to let a professional do it.
A deal has been made - she gets to take me to her hairdresser and she pays...

My daughter is completing her Cert III in barbering at the moment. There's a real renaissance of the craft going on with all these hipsters sporting skin fade hair cuts and manicured beards.
We went to the Hair and Beauty Awards on Sunday at the Convention Centre, Little Miss had colored, cut and styled a models hair and beard to enter the competition, 15 entrants and she came 5th. Very proud of her given she's still in training.
Best part, free cuts for Dad!
