The Cats aren’t unhappy about playing a couple of home games at the MCG. Their point — as enunciated by president Colin Carter — is that this should be their choice, rather than the AFL’s.
Geelong president Colin Carter has called on the AFL to honour the club’s wish for all its home games to be played at Simonds Stadium.
Speaking to SEN before the club’s win over Collingwood, Carter outlined that the club wants its home games to be played at their preference, Simonds Stadium.
“There is no competition that I know around the world which ever takes a game away from the home team to play it somewhere else,” the Geelong president told SEN's Crunch Time..

Are Geelong willing to give up Easter Monday and be treated the same as an interstate side in regards to membership etc though? Will they then also complain that they only play 2 games a year at the MCG like interstate sides do?

We have to learn to play at the G just like everyone else if we expect to win the premiership. While we didn't win yesterday at least it was a step in the right directon. Just need to stop selecting the likes of Gregson, Parsons and Zuthrie. When Parsons was the late in I knew we were going to get done right away.

Look, even though Martin turns around and walks back to demonstrate to the umpire what happened in the contest and makes contact with the umpire doesn't mean it's intentional. It's careless. Also says he took into account findings of the tribunal on other matters like this and even though this was very similar to the one May got suspended for he felt it was only worth of a fine.
At least the new system is better.

I reckon Parsons sits somewhere near the no 1 worst player to reguarly get a game in the comp. Duryea, around the mark. Who else?? Not Toumpas Carey, he doesnt get a regualar game. Neade is up there. Cripps at WC

Rather it at the G, but it makes zero sense...
I think it’s ridiculous Geelong have to play a home game at the G.
