Haven’t rated him at Samp but the EPL might suit him and at that price it’s worth a punt
Well there you go, soccer expert Jim with his scouting credentials
I’m a Serie A tragic and follow it more than the EPL so have seen quite a bit of him during his time at Samp and Pescara. He has never stood out but does his job without being flashy. Doesn’t offer the attacking flair but importantly for you guys he is quite regimated and will run all day. What he produced at the WC was better than what I’ve seen him produce at league level FWIW. You got him at a bargain price so nothing lost if it doesn’t work out but I think the English style could suit him as long as he doesn’t get into any aerial or physical battles
It's better than watching Xhaka try and defend[/quote]
Exactly
Our attackers are as good as any but we haven’t had a holding mid in years, so this is a great signing imo
Along with Leno and Sokratis it’s already looking a lot more solid down back

Yeah it’s all how they adapt. Darmian was easily one of the top 3-4 defenders in Serie A and has really struggled in the EPL. I think having pace helps so in that regard Torreira may be ok

The ghost of Arsene lives on.
Can’t say I know much about this lad but to pluck a bloke from the the depths of French second division football is very Wengerish

West Ham have signed Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund.
Expected to announce signing of Felipe Anderson from Lazio in the next couple of days.

Had to wait until the messy saga between Sarri and Napoli played out. Should see a heap of players come in over the next few weeks

Re: EPL Season 2018/2019
What’s everyone predictions this season
Winner- Man City
Runners Up- Liverpool
Under achievers- Tottenham (i feel like they may miss the champions league, history says a new stadium results in a slightly poorer home performance. Lots of players playing deep into WC finals shorter season preparation)
Relegation
Burnley- not sure they will have the depth to compete in both Europa and the EPL
Brighton
Watford
Surprise Packet- After all these years I’ve finally been seduced by West Ham and am buying all the hype. Very good new manager and some extremly good transfers. To finish between 6-8.

Liverpool sign Shaquiri from Stoke ... Not sure about this one, but JK has managed to get the best out of most of his (non-goalkeeping) players, so hopefully this will be no different.
