One mob said to install it in the boot space at the rear but our Kluger is a 7 seater and the seats fold down and up in the rear so that would be a pain in the arse. I thought the engine bay should be big enough to hold the extra battery?
You should have room to put a battery but you need some other gizmos to help you out. You do not want it to drain your starting battery and you want to be able to charge it efficiently. In addition what I think is really useful is a monitoring system you can buy to help you with the condition of the battery, how much charge it is charging/discharging. Connecting to solar would also be a useful feature. It depends on what your applications are? Charging a fridge whilst driving is one thing but what about when you are stopped, camping, fishing etc. You will need to find a good installer and they should be able to help, you just need to think through the applications because it will impact what you put in.
