So Brisbane have given us 5 and Mayes for pick 6?

This deal seems silly on Brisbane’s part

They get 35 as well (Hawks pick i am guessing?). So they have given us an upgrade to 5 & Mayes for 35 + whatever other picks are involved at the lower end of the scale. Not sure they allowed us to upgrade to 5

I am guessing 6 & 35 will go to Freo for Neale?

I'd say so, that's why they don't care if they went from 5 to 6.

Fremantle get pick 6 back!

Might see a few trades drop now that this one is unlocked.

I think Port have still lost out. Wingard is a great player and I'm sure you would find a way to work with him to get the best out of him. Maybe he just needed more time in the middle, how knows. We will find out next season as I reckon he will year it up at the Hawks.

Think Wingard will have a good year next season. Something to prove, however most of those type of players then go back to old habits after 12 months when he feels he showed port and probably got his money.

Brisbane 'lost' 127 points on the downgrade from 5 to 6.
Pick 35 is 'worth' 522 points. So they've won there.

Mayes for a future 3rd rounder is nothing. Players a lot better than Mayes are going for lower than 3rd rounders.

I think Brisbane did fine here.

Clarko will get the best out of him on and off the field, not sure that Hinkley or Port could've, he seemed somewhat cancerous to the group, wont get away with it at a successful Melbourne club such as Hawthorn.
Sad to see him depart as a Port supporter, I wish him all the best though as he is very talented on his day.
