In: 6,F3rd(45ish),F4th(65ish) = 2,188pts
Out: 23, 30, 48,49, Polec, Pittard = 2,033pts + 2 players.
So net we've had in: 155pts (equivalent of Pick 60), for Out: Polec and Pittard, plus we are still paying 200k of Pittard for the next two years.
When you add in the fact that this years draft is 'stronger' than next, and we've pushed current picks out for future ins, in reality it is even worse than the above.
We have had an absolutely shocking start to this year's trade period.
Ok, updating for the latest one (which I count as a win):
Booney wrote:Port :
Out - pick 6 ( Brisbane ) Wingard ( Hawthorn )
In - pick 5 and Mayes ( Brisbane ) pick 15 and Burton ( Hawthorn )
also includes swap of 3rd and 4th round picks next year
In: Pick 5, 15, Mayes, Burton, F3rd (Freo - 45ish) F4th(Roos - 65ish), F4th(Dogs - 65ish)
Out: 23, 30, 48, 49, Polec, Pittard, Wingard, F3rd (Port - 50ish)
Combining the picks to points we get a net of:
In: 1211 points, (Pick 13 is worth 1212), Burton and Mayes.
Out: Polec, Wingard, Pittard.
Mayes and Pittard sort of cancel each other out.
Would I have traded Polec and Wingard for 13 and Burton? Probably not, but given both wanted out, it's probably not the worst outcome overall.
EDIT: Updated for the swap of 2019 picks with hawks as well, then changed to whose third rounders they actually were.
