Allegedly appointed Spin coach of Sri Lanka to Woodville. Interesting pendulum swing. It wouldn’t be a surprise if McNally has decided to concentrate on family after a few years at club land. Has done a great job at a tough club with limited junior talent. Surely had some type of influence on 3 x players being selected at first class level. Woodville would be mad not to go hard at a former player and well credentialed coach in Paul Finnie.

Wouldn't of thought they had limited junior talent considering they have had a number of lads in or around the junior HP squads. Think you will find that chasing junior premiership instead of working with the senior coaching panel has had an effect. If you speak with there bar staff they have one of the best junior talents in Australia A number of lads went to community clubs this year instead of being first year seniors. Culture?

Everything is incredibly true.… they didn't lose a game in the 16 reds till the GF last year and were stocked with big kids who should have been playing senior cricket! Considering their lower grades have been atrocious for a long time! CULTURE exactly!
Great to see him doing so well, the bowling attack he was facing unfortunately doesn't compare with BBL. I am sure he will get his opportunity in Futures and after that it is up to him.Makes no sense to select players in first class cricket if they are unable to perform at Futures level. Surprising that SACA have a 2nd grade T20 competition being played with Red balls, I would be interested in knowing what the thinking is behind that other than the cost of uniforms.

That is it

Pretty sure we've discussed this before but how ridiculous is it that all grades are playing on Australia Day, juniors included.
The junior programming has been quite poor this season, round 7 was played on the 1st of December and then concluded on the 15th, there was only one week's break over the Christmas period and IMO T20 shouldn't be played in junior cricket, there's an overkill of that now too.

Having a few beers, some lamb chops and a swim on the river perhaps?
But yeah, maybe A's and B's, as a parent you wanna be able to have a bit of a getaway at some stage during the school holidays without it interfering with your kids sporting commitments.

Clubs voted in Adelaide and Suburban to have it off.

The juniors have this Saturday off but play next week!
Twenty20 finals day is this Saturday for them. Surely they could have had the T20 finals on Australia Day, give 2/3s of the teams the weekend off instead of the other way around.

It's school holidays, they could've had the T20 finals late afternoon mid-week.
