Have Virginia announced who their new president is? Or are they waiting to announce first who the new A grade captain will be with Nick Secca exiting and head up north to play in the YP!!

As long as Virginia watch their cap space..... cause I’m sure these locals won’t be coming back for free!
Watch this space the falcon said...the salary caps out the window you would think
Looks like the old Virginia is back! Salary cap doesn’t apply with Virginia
With the ex president and all of it's luggage re-directed to another vulnerable club,
there will certainly be ample Bradman's, Pineapple's, Lobster's & Redbacks to go around.

Where has the old committee gone to now?
I think virginias new committee looks excellent. All very good guys who should lead them in a new direction. Time will tell.

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
So I would imagine most clubs would be kicking off their pre season campaign next week or the week after?? That being said not much recruiting talk happening? So far only big names I’ve heard are Lee Stables (Virginia) Caleb Edmead (Two Wells) and Jason Sutherland (Angle Vale)...... when are the next clearance due?

As Billy Joel said: You may be right

3.7.1 A Transfer may be lodged between 1 November to 30 November or 1 February to 30 June in
each calendar year (Transfer Periods).

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
I may have raised this last year but just an interesting little bylaw I've noticed within the league's rules:
34. APFL Changes to AFL Rules
AFL Rule 13.5 “Official within fifty metre arc” – does not apply in the APFL.
That rule:
13.5 OFFICIAL WITHIN FIFTY-METRE ARC
Unless attending to an injured Player or making every endeavour to vacate the area, no Official is permitted within the Fifty-Metre Arc during the time when a defensive Player is preparing to Kick or in the act of Kicking the football back into play after a Behind has been scored. Where an Official contravenes this Law, the opposing Team shall be awarded a Free Kick at the back line of the Centre Square, to be taken by the Player from the opposing Team who is closest to that location.
So...feel free chock up your defensive 50 with water runners on the kick-in!

Is it true that the player point system has change this year? And a player can now become zero point after only playing 25 games for their club?

If a player plays his 25th game in his second year at a club, the following year he goes from 2 to zero points

That makes more sense so it’s the following year not straight after playing their 25th game. Cheers for that

Similarly with the Under 18 minus 1 point rule the player remains minus 1 for the entire season that they turn 18 during.

I wonder how many actually know that in this league?, I am happy I have been right all along even though I still tell people to keep out as some umpires would not know this or some teams and players
