2nd Leg- Tick :supz: and I got the tri- (although it won’t pay much 83%)

3rd Leg- 2,7,12

4th leg- 1,2,4,5,10

Only 42% but thus far a $13 and $8.50 winner.

I’d love Rekindling and Spanish Reef to salute.

My 2 best of the day

Spanish Reef and Prim and Proper at Ascot.

Adelaide Cup Day! Had a look at the first four races. Not in great depth but meh, here's my thoughts.

R1: BM82 1050m

Good race!

Let's look for some value. Favourite (3 Despatch) has a wide draw so finding its ideal position won't be easy from there. With the battle on for early speed, hope to see some over-racing, which suits some midfielders.

(4 Domination) should find the lead, so it will be in front at some point and be hard to run down, so worth an EW ticket. Despatch is the class horse of the field but could be left wide, which is why I'm risking it and this sets up ideally for the likes of (8 Everyday Lady) and (1 Barood), both at EW quotes).

R2: BM82 2004m

Distance. This will test some out.

I love this horse (7 Bramfield) over from Port Lincoln. Its second in the Lincoln Cup the other day was huge, coming from 13th to run close to the win. Parish retains the ride and similar weight, plus better draw and a nice long straight. Gets way back and rattles home so it's a nervous watch. Each Way. (8 Tahnee Tiara) returns from Mooney Valley in good nick but perhaps the short straight doesn't suit, not sure. See how Domination goes in the first with regard to how the track plays. If not much is making ground, then I think Tahnee Tiara is a good win bet. Refusing to get sucked in to the French import (10 Etna).

R3: Open Hcp 1200m

Hype around Irish Import (1 Yulong Knight) but wide barrier means it will be going around with some question marks. $4-$5 not a bad price. I like (5 Strike In Style) at a price, while (6 Carlaluisa) and (7 Montenegro Man) are good winning chances at a shorter quote with class jockeys on board. I'd be willing to back the 7 with Baster on board, which has been contesting tougher races than most of this field lately.

R4: 1200m Open

(1 The Executioner) smashed them on its first start but tendency to miss the kick may be a risk. Really like it though and extra 200m suits. (5 Done By Me) comes from the flying Phillip Stokes stable and comes out of a solid race at Caulfield. Dalasun should have won at Flemington on Saturday (it's not running here) but the two horses it beat before that, (8 Lil Kontra) and (2 Vinco), are. Worth watching.

Leave it alone!

Should've listened, I left the fave out of the tri & F4 after my brother had been waffling on about Fabrizio who forgot it was a 3200 metre race.

I had all the others, I'm a bit of a Dean Holland fan so I had no qualms in chucking him in, had him as the banker in my F4 and he was boxed in my tri.

Oh well, it's only gambling when you lose, I had a decent day Saturday so all good.

Here's a handy boxed tri for the exotic players. Set up my day anyway.
