Kids footy starting up this week, unfortunately my sons coach had a massive heart attack last week and will be out of action for some time so Mr Stupid will be filling the role for the interim.

Tough first up game but a chance to go to an oval that I haven't been to before, something I enjoy, I can't go to a country town without looking for their local ground for a drive by.

Nice one mate.

Best reef day we've had was on Poseidon from Port Douglas, 3 reefs, great tucker, excellent guides, best day out of the 3 we've done.

Absolutely magic spot, had our honeymoon there and went there again 2 years ago, one of the most expensive places in Oz though.

I've had a look at the menu's at restaurants up there etc and thought it wasn't too bad. No different than going out to a decent place here. Our accommodation was great value. In a bloody nice apartment on the esplanade and it's cheaper than staying at places in country SA. I'm not fussed anyway. I'm lashing out and enjoying every minute of it.

I'm currently in the throngs of debating this with Mrs Boon.

She wants to do Bali ( again ) in November or thereabouts, I want to go to Broome, Cable Beach, Eighty Mile Beach....like going to Palm Cove it's expensive, but given the Balinese now take the Aussie dollar for granted and take the piss a bit with pricing ( shopping, especially ) why not check out some of Australia before we go O/S again.

Its the low season at the moment up there and out of school holidays so good time to go I suspect, we went in peak season so everything was jacked up price wise.
