After conceding last week that he probably doesn't like being boxed in early, we end up with him starting from the Noarlunga train station, it's not a major issue in a 1600 metre race, he has plenty of time to work across before the first bend, there's bound to be a scratching or two aswell.

An interesting fact, Jon O'Connors last Adelaide Guinea's winner was Magic Boy, he started from Barrier 17 and he too had Jason Holder in the saddle.

My brother rang me yesterday and said "Col, this could be our pay day, I'm f****** pumped, hopefully them 4th's and 5th's have led this race!".

The horse is in great shape, my main concern is another new jockey, but having it be my favourite male SA jockey gives me great comfort.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, a small investment and my weekend could be off the scales, the next time the missus will see me will be on a milk carton.

I'm more keen on this run than most of the others, he has been prepped for this one since December.

The bookies obviously know a shit load more than I do but there's little buzzing element jumping around in me.

I'll be boxing 1,2,3,10 & 11. (Raquel, Vorster, Oliver, Stubby & Allen) It will be a jockeys race, all the horses have shown enough to gain entry to the race, they're all 3 year olds so they wouldn't have seen many fields this size.

East Indiaman will be the one to watch though obviously.
