or will guys coming up the hill, the select few be even higher paid??

Boys the points system opens the door for mercenary's, current players can (not will) over price themselves knowing that the club they are currently at need them due to the points system. New players however may be forced to lower their price due to less players being taken by any one club however for potential recruits who are eagerly sought after (eg ruckmen) the skies the limit really. As another posters mentioned, it is upto the club to reward the 1pt players aswell, they will be just as important as the 3pts players.
Am I making sense?

yep, you are.
And like your ruckman comment, I think that will sometimes be the case. A wanted player will genuinely be a wanted player when it comes to $$. Some will be able to name their price, but then again, some clubs will still tell them to p#ss off if it's too unrealistic.
Re the coaches award...the idea of being voted by your peers is a bloody good idea.
And don't be surprised if a few other EP boys that want a change come across and play for Bawds.

It was behind the play and I'm the first to admit it was out of line.

ODB, it wasn't the bloke who stood Roger 2nd time round?? Plays mainly 'B's, and I reckon he's the bloke who kicked Kym Pearce down at Maccy. Most of Maccy's Blokes aren't snipers, but that little ferret has problems.

No it wasn't him. Let's just say it's someone who should have known better but he's most likely to retire so I think the situation may have got the best of him. Might be able to discuss it further tomorrow night

Is this player the club president?

If he is retiring he sure wanted to go out like Alastair Lynch

ORDoubleBlues wrote:Interesting follow up to last Saturday's B grade preliminary final is that a Blackwood player want's to lay an assault charge against a Macclesfield player. I can't say I'm totally against it but given that one of our players was belted in an unrelated incident, I guess they must think that because the player on the receiving end is 6 foot 5 and weighs 140 kilo's that that's OK, and the events that occurred prior to the first bounce when we played our minor round A grade clash against them at Blackwood a couple of months ago, it is a bit disappointing.

Im assuming you are talking about big number 22? If so, then I think its fair to say he got his own back if he did get hit behind play. I didnt see that but I did see the retaliation.

Pretty sure Grainger has signed on to coach again at Lofty next season.

Who is Shane Lynch?
I heard rumblings that some lads wouldn't stay if Grainger re-signed. Gonna be an interesting summer if that's the case.

If Lynch does have some sort of involvement, you'll see pretty quickly...promises made that can't be kept, put it that way. Lofty would be better off without him. Will promise the world and deliver a map.

It'd be against the tide of Lofty have recruited a bad seed.
What position does he play?

Confusion is setting in, has Grainger actually signed on with Lofty for 08 or is this speculation? Earlier in the year he was tied to Talem bend in 08.

It was announced both Grainger and Madsen would be coaching Lofty's A's and B's after round 18's game. If Justin Credible is fishing he got a few bites, but how about a source to add some credibility Justin.....

Interesting topic... I was speaking with someone who knows Grainger pretty well and yes there was a verbal agreement he'd coach Lofty next year. Nothing has been officially signed or documented apparently. Since that time he has been offered a position(s) elsewhere which might be of some attraction to him.

i 2 have heard some players unhappy. dont no if all is related to grainger but some are dissapointed there not playing in positions they like. a big issue at lofty with all their midfielders.
