Good to hear from all the honest crows supporters and the one's that have not got their heads in the clouds thinking we were a chance this season.
Vote 1 - Sack Craigy!

I'd never thought we were a chance this season, but I still think it's too early to write Neil Craig off ... I think he needs to develop (ie change) in some facets, and time may well prove that he wasn't the right man to lead the Crows, but at this point in time I don't believe it's the case.
Crows need to start scoring some runs in the draft though pretty bloody quickly.

Re: Crows vs Hawks
Heres something that will spark debate-
I have watched Andrew McLeod for a long time, go to all Crows home games and believe his career rates up there with the very best.
In the last few weeks and months though i have seen an unwillingness on his part to basically keep his head over the ball when needed. A good mate of mine pointed this out to me last year and i was reluctant to agree, but unfortunately IMO it is true. His effort last week against Collingwood, when he ducked his head, highlights this. For some reason the media seem to be glossing over this. I was at the game on the weekend and on a number of occasions he refused to commit to contested situations. He was never a bash-crash player, but IMO, he would never shirk the issue.
What are others views on this ?
Also, a message to the people calling for Craig's head - Get a grip!!! We werent good enough, simple. I was there, stupid errors contributed to our downfall. Maybe Massie should have been moved, maybe the midfield should have won more of the ball in the second half. To call for the coaches sacking is stupid. You people are the reason Crows supporters get a bad name. Suck it up, support your team.

Stop fishing AG - what's this 'we' business? You're a Richmond man?????
I think only one Crows supporter has suggested sacking Neil Craig - it's amazing how many non-Crows people have an opinion on our coach is all I can say

Ignore AG, he is a lowlife Richmond supporter.
You said it yourself though Felch. Craig should have made more moves on Saturday including Massie - that is what a coach is for. More than likely he will keep his job for next year but I bet his arse will be twitching. If we fail again next year (to be honest if we have a clear out there is a fair chance of this happening unfortunately) he would be in big trouble I would say.

What about the Crows playing for our captain retiring as well??? This is no excuse at all.
The Crows match winners could be anyone of McLeod, Goodwin or even Edwards....all capabable of taking a game on, the only thing going against them these days is age.
I think it's different in that Roo announced his retirement 3 weeks ago, the passion will only last so long, Richie announced his retirement this week and it was emotional and passionate and they were all up for Richie on the weekend..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...
The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Re: Crows vs Hawks
I am a true tiger but have a special interest in the crows as a relative plays there, he is unhappy with Craigy (mainly due to he cant get a game)..... Craigy simply stuffed up on the day and should be held accountable as should some of McLoed's efforts (or non efforts).
Grow up and face facts that Craigy aint that good, as much as it hurst to say Choco is a far superior coach!
The tigers will finish above the crows next season.

Does the relative deserve a game ???
Not fishing just wondering as I am often frustrated with watching some players playing really well in the SANFL and then either not getting a go or getting one or two games and then out again after probably not having much game time in the first place.
It is what it is !!!

Re: Crows vs Hawks
I wasnt that keen on craigy when they appointed him, i had to eat humble pie after his 1st couple of yrs. I see after 31/2 yrs the side hasnt grown or developed. I beleive the crows are a club who will always want to be around the top 8 but to go to the next step and be a grand finalist they need some changes which might hurt them in the short term and see them drop down to the bottom 4. Look at Collingwood they dropped down in 2004/05 got great draft picks used them well and whammo same as port power. Craigy would be given 1 more year and if we dont play off in the big one see ya latter.

Good post, except you contradicted yourself by saying give Craig one more year for the big one or sack him

I agree that Craig should be held accountable for his mistakes, and he did make some, all coaches do. But does that mean he should be sacked ?
To say Williams is a FAR superior coach is a bit rich too. I agree Williams is a very good coach, but dont forget he was critised for being inflexible too a few years back, but with experience he has got better.

Re: Crows vs Hawks
Please lets not get on the Premiership in 2008 or bust train!! Craigy is almost damned by those 2 prelim finals now expectations are at an all-time high
The list probably over-achieved in 05 and 06 and now needs a new transition but he needs time to see it through. If we want to embark on re-building as many are calling for then it would have to mean at least 2 more years surely?
Reports I hear are that he is very good one-on-one with the players, very good with the younger guys and very thorough. I'd also suggest we grab back that fitness coach we lost to the Cats!!
James Thiessen rates him as his best coach apart from Blighty (from when he played at Norwood).
There's other coaches in more of a hot-seat IMO such as Eade, Wallace and Lyon - if you had said to me at the end of 2004 that we would play in 6 finals in the coming 3 years I would have severely doubted you.
Premierships are what it's all about I know - but 15 coaches don't deserve to be sacked every season.

I really want to see some change from Mummbles and his approach to what he thinks is important.
You know that i was very frustrated about Buddy v Massies from Saturday and after watching it again just before another couple of things came up.
Why didnt he move Stiffy or Magic either - both were heavily tagged and really were taken out of the game.
Mummbles talks about the need for players being fexibile but someone needs to have a little chat and maybe remind him that a coach can be fexibile to if it aint workin !!!!!

Blue Boy - I am not saying there's not room for improvement for Craigy
I am just resisting the assumption that he can't or won't improve and therefore needs to go
