If anyone is looking for a weekend on the edge of the Flinders or to use somewhere as a base to explore deeper into the Flinders I highly recommend the Great Northern Lodge in Quorn.
With 30 odd Studio Apartments they cater for those of us more interested in a little bit of comfort at night.
If you're looking for a team building / conference escape the Conference Centre has 9 individual rooms ( all with en suites ) as well as a down stairs communal area and upstairs a conference room with seating for 20 or so, 3 big screens for presentations etc.
Wendy and Robert are great hosts and the Lodge offers something a little different to most Flinders accommodation, light, bright, new, bit trendy and a "little flash" you won't regret using it as a base or somewhere for a weekend away with a difference.

Cheers for the info Booney, I must take my pommy missus up there one day as she's never seen the outback.

If your heading up that way Melrose and Mount Remarkable are definitely worth a stop as well and fairly close from the Adelaide CBD (3hr)
Beautiful part of the world.
