Re: Port Adelaide 2019
I've heard Walker, Jenkins, B.Crouch and Adelaide 1st rounder from Carlton for Wines, Motlop and Port's pick 84. Good source too.Brodlach wrote:He’s gone thenBooney wrote:Ollie Wines’ manager has “unequivocally” shut down suggestions the Port Adelaide co-captain could be “gettable” during the upcoming AFL trade period.

Who around the competition would be comparable in terms of the role they play?
Wines and Cunnington reasonable?

I'd rather have Cunnington for sure but yeah Wines has youth in his side. I thought Wines was impressive early on but maybe hasn't kicked on like he should have, or at least like I thought he would have. Maybe making him captain probably hasn't helped. It's not just a Geelong thing, I've been very impressed by Boak this season now that Kenny has put him where he should be. I really do see Wines as a Ling type (not necessarily a tagger), but you shot me down a bit for suggesting it.

Least Ollie doesn't try to be over tough like Viney.
Perhaps Hopper from GWS also?
All good players mentioned except Viney!
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Re: Port Adelaide 2019
Bar Wines' disposal efficiency his numbers stack up against Cunnington who receives many plaudits.
Unless you don't rate him either.

I for one rate Wines highly bar his odd brain fade foot skills here & there. You can build a good midfield around him. Port must keep him IMO, you would get rid of SPP before him obviously.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Spot on. For an in & under player, Cunnington’s disposal by hand & foot is very good.mots02 wrote:pretty important metric to removeBooney wrote:Bar Wines' disposal efficiency his numbers stack up against Cunnington who receives many plaudits.

Depends what metrics you choose to add or remove when you compare them.MW wrote:Wines doesn't come near Cunnington
If you added the physical size of the players head, Wine would be right up there in a league of his own!

Wait are we removing the disposal quality in comparing players?
Lol
If that's the case you could call Wines the bloody Bont lol.
