I beg to disagree.

Ralph Wolf has virtually the same character design as another Chuck Jones character, Wile E. Coyote—brown fur, wiry body, and huge ears, but with a red nose in place of the Coyote's black one


I was brought up on Warner Bros cartoons, Wile-E didn't have time to eat sheep, he was too busy chasing the roadrunner getting blown up by ACME devices he planted! ;)

I always thought he was normally Wile E Coyote but for the purposes of that series, he was Ralph Wolf.
