Anthony Klan also picked up the story in The Australian, but had his substantial findings spiked by the paper in the lead-up to the election.
Of course you're happy to ignore the corruption of one of your own - I mean it's not the only scandal that has followed Taylor.
I’ll tell you what I’ll do to settle this one and for all.
I’ll send him a copy of this transcript together with your details.
When he sues you for defamation, you’ll both get your day in Court.
I’m the meantime, I’ll choose to ignore it because I have little regard for online trolls like Turnbull and Holmes A Court.
I do have regard for what the AFR say. You obviously choose to ignore that because they must be biased (sorry: one of their own) as well.
Gotta go.
Why hasn't he sued for defamation already? I mean, if it's all over Twitter already, as outlined in the two AFR puff pieces (one of which was basically a press release from lawyers dressed up as journalism), why hasn't he sued relevant parties for defamation? It's because the claims would have to be proven false and everything would go on record in court.
You can’t just sue for defamation anymore
There’s a process where the subject puts the publisher on notice allowing the publisher to delete, retract and apologise or defend (if you want to)
If you read the articles I posted (which you obviously couldn’t be bothered doing) he served notice on both West and Kingston who both deleted the retweets. Looks like they didn’t have the bottle you have
The Ronni Salt post, which described Taylor as "Mr X" before revealing his identity in the last line, portrayed the cabinet minister as the architect of a covert scheme to exploit the government.
Accounts belonging to West and Kingston both retweeted the post, prompting Taylor to threaten them with legal action for "the defamatory imputation that our client has acted corruptly".
They deleted the retweets, but it was pointless. Alex Turnbull and Simon Holmes a Court fanned the "watergate" story across Twitter, tapping into thousands of followers who enjoyed their daily sarcastic and colourful observations about politics and the Coalition.
Further investigation by me has found that Turnbull deleted a mountain of tweets about it suggesting he was served as well. I haven’t checked on HAC because I could’ve bothered going through his millions of tweets.
BTW, should you decide to go to trial, the onus is on YOU to prove that the defamatory imputations of the material are substantially true.not he to prove them incorrect, so you’re wrong again. He can just sit there and watch you burn. Good luck with that considering your “credible journalists” have all turned yellow on you. At least you’ve still got 500 LWNJs on Twitter to rely on!
So, now the best you’ve got is I have astroturfed this forum about this.
Forgot, and then remembered this post insinuating I don’t know what about me and now saying someone is paying me?
Jimmy, you must have used up all your outrage on Dastyari.
Funny that you've been quiet regarding Angus Taylor's corruption - apparently funneling 80mil of taxpayer money, for water that never existed, into a Cayman's Island account doesn't warrant much of a mention.
I just decided to take an interest, and, sheesh; it took me all of half an hour’s research to debunk everything you’ve said. I didn’t even have to use Murdoch to give you that excuse.
BTW, Michael Atkinson is well known for scanning social media for defamatory comments about him. There are actually agencies to do I t for you.
Better hope Taylor doesn’t do it and find how many times you’ve called him corrupt.
Gotta go: “Billions” is on QF TV. Great show
