I can’t stand watching him bat.
Something bout him.

Great player nonetheless but I find him boring.

Dave Gilbert and Simon O'Donnell? 85/86 v NZ in Sydney.

Mind you they only took the shine off for the spinners, and Martin Crowe opened with Richard Hadlee

Not sure if this is the right phrase, but it seems that with the attention over his mannerisms, he's almost become a parody of himself since the middle of the Ashes

Yeah not sure.

He’s churning out the runs but for me he doesn’t appear to have the elegance of a M. Waugh or D. Martyn nor does he have the hitting power of a Hayden, Ponting or Gilchrist.
His mannerisms are just weird and annoying.

But I guess his stats speak for themselves

If he had a positive mindset he faced enough balls to make 100. This is not a world class bowling attack, far from it, but he made it look like it was. I stand by my earlier comment that he's selfish as evidenced by nearly running out Marnus to finally get off the mark. Rather watch the Rat any day
Wade came out and treated Wagner how he should be treated in the way ive been saying all summer.

Boycott would be proud

You are kidding. This is test cricket and he always tries to wear down the opposition. How can that be described as selfish?

Its not Test cricket, this bowling attack is not even Afgan standard but Smith has made it look like he's facing the Aussie attack. Shouldve made 400 today, 600 by tea tomorrow and had 20 wickets by stumps day3. No need for this game to go into a 4th day. It will now because Smith is more worried about his average than the team=selfish.

Aussies will try and bat all day tomorrow, probably knock NZ over by stumps on day 3 and then bat again cant have the test finishing to quickly with all they hype around about 4 day tests

Smith hits 63 on day one of a test which helps us reach 3/283 and pretty much an unloseable and very winnable position from there.

Langer would take that performance 10/10

Strange selections by the Kiwis. I get it when players are sick and not fit of course but is Henry offering anything more than Southee?

Also good to see Wade take on Wagner. About time, the Ponting era of batsmen would have been sensing him over the fence since say 1.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

An X-ray last night confirmed Matt Henry has broken his left thumb following a blow on day one. It has been strapped and placed in a splint. Henry will continue to bowl in the Test with his batting match dependent

Bloody hell, no luck for the Kiwis.
