Good to have them back but what a cop out! Nothing dramatically changed in that time that every other club didn't already know about.

Where does this leave the Aldinga B grade proposal. Surely can't happen now with 8 teams in the A grade comp and no BYE.

Move them to the C grade would make sense or make them play A grade and bring Hackham into their B grade spot so a full day of footy can be played, might be the challenge Hackham need.

Having seen the revised program it seems the SFL have gone down the laziest path possible and just moved the A grade team - whose club has a bye - to play in the slot that Aldinga's A grade have vacated.

Poor Valley get to double up against CB and the Bushpigs while a team that lost one, albeit the only one that mattered, game all year gets to double up against 2 sides that didn't make finals.

CB and Flaggies double up against each other so somehow the Shoes have managed to go from not having a team to being gifted one of the easiest draws possible for a previous seasons undefeated Minor Premier.

Don't get me started on the **** that is the B grade decision.

Powerhouse Southern Football League grand finalist Noarlunga has backflipped on an original decision not to play in a revamped 2020 season.

The Shoes voted to sit out 2020 earlier this month.

But following backlash from within and outside its ranks, combined with further easing of COVID-19 restrictions, they decided to rejoin the competition.

The SFL will now be an eight-team competition this year, as Aldinga’s decision to withdraw from the A grade still stands.

Noarlunga president Mark Anderson said the club was now committed to playing in both senior and junior competitions.

“It is fair to say we copped a lot on social media about our original decision not to play,” Anderson said.

“But now with further easing of things like the number of people we can have in our clubroom and the number of people we can have at games we have been able to readdress a few things.

“I have said all along the safety of our volunteers who are mainly over 60 was the key factor and the uncertainty surrounding the season were key factors in our original decision not to play.

“The players and club are committed and on board and looking forward to playing.”

Noarlunga originally told the SFL it would not have enough numbers to field A and B grade teams in 2020, saying many players were tradies and they had committed to working on weekends

SFL president Craig Warman was thrilled to have Noarlunga back in the competition.

So its now a 9 game A grade season? Tough draw for us to double up on the red hot premiership favourites...

Looking at the new draw, am I reading it right that Aldinga will still host an A grade game as a neutral venue, so they still get 5 games of footy and the associated revenue that comes with it?

I guess there was little option from a volunteer perspective, especially with the away club having all 4 other teams down there.

We don't, we play at Reynella 11/7 and then on 15/8 Reynella play Aldinga at Aldinga in all grades up to B grade and then Flaggies slot into the A grade spot to ensure Reynella have all 5 games at one venue.
