Apparently the laws got rewritten in 2019 to take a few grey areas outWedgie wrote:Kahuna wrote:Wedgie wrote:daysofourlives wrote:That was always my understanding to
They showed the actual AFL rule on the Sunday Footy show and the umpire was spot on, its taken from in play closest to where it lands out of play.
How did they explain it Wedgie? Rule as quoted in post above seems pretty clear.
They quoted the law (printed it on the screen), I assume the AFL is different or the above rule is outdated.

As per my previous post that appeared to be a **** up, most people agreed they didn't think Gibbons wouldn't have got close too, he was miles closer to the ball than Newnes was.

Re: Round nintelevewelve
Another example of how confusing our rules are, if you push someone in the back just after they have disposed of it, it's called back to the spot. But if you bump someone over front or side on after they dispose of it, it goes down field.

You mean they get rewritten every week to include more grey areas, yes?

The Bulldogs using Dunkley and Macrae against Adelaide in the ruck the ultimate troll. They were using it as a practice match.

Nah just Gibbs..
Gibbs has one year to run on probably $600k and Polec has 3 to run on probably $800k.
Gibbs is an easier sell every day of the week, even at 32 years old.

Re: Round nintelevewelve
Im guessing Shaw wants Polec to test the trade waters, if he gets interest he leaves, if he doesn't he either buys into the Shaw rebuild or sulks in the ressies for 3 years. There is only one party that loses in this scenario.
