Twas the clubs that didn't like the 6 team comp.
Firstly, please don't use the word "Twas" again, do you still write with a quill?
Secondly, which clubs opposed it? Here's how I see it:
Virginia: Opposed as they finished top anyway, having two more minnows in the comp would boost averages.
Angle Vale: Always around the mark so they'd sooner 8.
Westies: Doesn't affect and they can beat anyone on their day, they'd pick 8.
Eastern Park: They'd opt for 8 to have a couple of extra teams to flog.
Gardens: Probably 8, they're stuck in Grade 1 anyway and they'd appreciate some easier games.
NEK: 6, so they can be demoted after a tough initiation to Grade 1.
NP: 8, if they have to go up.
Dublin: 6 if they can stay down, 8 if they have to go up.
Goats: 6, so they're less likely to go up again, mass exodus if they do.
ATCO: 6, for the rare chance that they play in a GF, they wouldn't want to be in G1.
Craigmore: 6, until they can get Dyl back.
Eyre: Doesn't really affect them, they're A's play in the B's so they're not going anywhere. (I might end up joining them).
Riverside: They probably didn't get the facsimile to have a vote.
Enfield: They'd pick 8 to keep themselves further away from G1.
Smithfield: See above unless they can get Z.Lowe, Owen and Dunn back.
Any clubs that I missed don't deserve a vote.
