Units up then?

Given the fact that players have to wear a certified helmet on top of buying all their own gear, I wonder if there will be a decline in players, especially women?

Feedback we got was that it wasn't ideal to have club kits if can be avoided, but they're not banned, and measures need to be taken if used e.g. individuals have own inners/box and need to sanitise bats/helmets before next person uses.

I understood it as you cant share the club helmets anymore. you can never stop players sharing pads and bats.

10 game season - gives plenty of space to schedule the byes in for Australia Day and the Test without having to play a Saturday Sunday game to make up for it.
1 up 1 down each season with an extra week in the finals. 1v2 with the double chance, 3v4 in a knockout.
Better depth without the bottom 2 sides of each grade getting flogged week in week out.

Thoughts from others? Personally i'd rather not start the season then have a week off, and/or have to make up a week.
I say start with a 2 dayer, then play a 1 dayer for Round 2 and roll with it.. and allow those clubs who agree and can organise it to start earlier than 1pm on the Saturday so they can be finished for the AFL Grand Final.

Ideas like these should be explored. If Corona has taught us anything its taught us to throw out the status quo and be innovative.Lightning McQueen wrote:6 team divisions, incorporate T20's into the comp (mainly in December when people have Christmas shows but one on the 24th of October with an 11am start)?
Could even have days when 4 teams play at the same venue and have back to back T20's to shorten the amount of weeks in the season.
Gotta think outside the square this season, you could find a gem of an idea that sticks forever.
