Not sure if they fielded a reserves team. They must be feeling good about their decision to not play last year right about now, time to move to the APFL.
Sporting pulse working well, how can an organisation as big as the AFL have such a shambles of a system
Didn’t the AFL outsource it to the Yanks.
Agreed it’s just woeful how bad the system is.
Amazing that in this day and age we can see a live ball by ball description of every cricket comp in the state but we can’t see a football final score until about 2 hours after the game.

Our team managers had a meeting at Snowtown regarding live scores, maybe that’s where it’s breaking down, team manager’s not finishing it off properly or lodging it correctly. In any case it’s gone backwards
I’ve seen some clubs in different comps do live scoring but seriously everyone has a phone or tablet these how hard is it for the team manager to spend 5 seconds putting a score in. The other stats can be done later in the evening

The scores are still not there, its a site issue. The A Grade ladder is up to date, thats where i got the Freeling score from.

Jim what happened to the youngster you had playing in the rucks in the A grade past couple of years. Is he still at the club? Expected him to front up against our young fella on Saturday. Would have been an interesting dual imho.

I watched the game on Saturday. Gawler South are a bit of a surprise packet this year. Their older ensemble looks very fit. And are well complemented by very good and hard it youngsters. We had a number out including Schiller with a groin. They will be a handful this year.

A comp more their standard, they win some games and get some interest back.
They will lose to the 2nd worst team Barossa by 100 plus points

Can’t be long until Dutschke, Cockshell and Scott leave them.

220 point losses aren’t good for anyone.

Why would any of their top players stay?
Going to cop some awful hidings this year.
Their B grade has lost every game by 100 points plus so far too so they are in for a world of hurt

Wouldve been easier to do the hard yards last year so this didnt happen. Its not new for Freeling though, its a regular cycle, theyll save their pennies, plead for extra points and play in a GF within 5 years

Save their pennies. Play in 3 straight. Win none. Circa early 2000s

One they do/will have going for them hopefully in years to come is the population boom around the town.

Someone mentioned to me that Freeling have had more junior numbers over the last 5 years than any other club.
From what im told its some of the coaching out there that drives them away.
There has clearly been limited improvement in this area for them so something is failing badly

Why would they stay? Easy, respect for the coach.
Yes we will cop some hidings this year but thats been obvious since preseason.
Our B grade has struggled for a few years now so thats not new.

We have really good junior numbers that we are starting to see come through the Junior Colts this year. We have improved significantly in retaining our juniors over the past few years and would expect to see this filter through to our seniors in the years to come.
