Cant stand the bloke, but you have to give credit to Goorj. Just keeps on winning.

Mills magnificent.

Goosebumps after the final buzzer.

Fun night trying to juggle the basketball, athletics and St Kilda match on two screens.

What an incredible feeling, so well deserved.

Glad that Simmons wasn't part of it too. He doesn't deserve to share in this, not like these 2 blokes

I didn’t get to see it last night but I just watched the medals being awarded. WOW!

Patty Mills just starring at his medal before a few tears. Most magical moment of the Olympics for me.

KD was saying “you don’t score like that at the Nets, you only pass me the ball”

Yeah, I saw that. I wondered if it was just that he lost his coordination due to fatigue as it was a fair way into the race. Would be disappointing if it was deliberate, I thought marathoners would be a pretty tight group who would be considerate to other runners. Shrug.......who knows?

He managed to grab the last bottle conveniently...
and it appeared at no stage did he try to grab a bottle.. looked like he had an open hand just knocking them down...
Could be wrong but not a good look

That was because our favourite neighbour came over to join us for drinks in the evening with a classy bottle of wine and wanted to watch the match with his Belgian lady friend on the phone on Whatsapp. (She'd been stuck here for months and has just gone back.)

I dug out my two old Hockey sticks and we waved them at her while Oz was in front, but she had the last laugh...

When were Australia in front? :?

There was a brief period in the middle of the game when it was 2 - 1 in our favour but it fairly quickly became 2 - 2.

It was 1-1 at the end of full time. Belgium scored the first goal and were also never behind in penalties, at no time were Australia winning. :?

Patty Mills has been picked in the All-Star Five for the Olympics.

Patty Mills, Australia
Ricky Rubio, Spain
Luka Doncic, Slovenia
Kevin Durant, USA
Rudy Gobert, France

Some bad news from Tokyo injured Boomer Aron Baynes remains in hospital with severe nerve damage in his neck worse than initially diagnosed and could miss the entire 2021-22 NBA season. He was waived by the Toronto Raptors last week too.
