After a couple of years without a Senior Women's side (only under 18's), its been great to get a team back into competition and to see such enormous interest from new players. We went from only have around 12 players a month ago to now having between 25-28 with a handful of those being completely new to the game ranging from the age of 17 to 40.
I am also a fan of the Saturday timeslot. I think it makes it a lot easier to integrate the Women's football teams into your standard club event schedules including Saturday night presentations and events.

Blackfriars are a div 3 team and they have at least a dozen players that can kick 40+ metres on the run and hit a target.

I do feel bit sorry for Ingle Farm and Hectorville being a win outside the top 4. Pembroke and Gepps cross coming into this division from a lower grade and bringing with then a 5-0 record at the time proved a bridge too far - no other side in the division was undefeated at that stage, so the two new entrants went straight to the top.
Good for the competition though, the gradings clearly proved to be the right move after they were made, but still disappointing for those clubs who started in that grade and were impacted.
