817 premiership matches if you start from Round 1 1972. Glenelg have played 1673 premiership matches in all - so that's just under half. That is a marvellous effort. =D>

I wonder who the Mighty BAYMAN would chose as the best Glenelg player he has seen 1972-2007

The Jamie Vlatko lookalike Sticks Kernahan is my pick

817 GAMES geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez

BAYMAN is it 1973 or 1972 + ?

no credit needed, i go because i love my footy & my footy club, some people go to the movies everyweek some go to the pub etc etc i go to the footy, i dont think i need to be praised or credited with doing something i want to & i'm pleased little bayman loves his tigers as well he could end up with a better 'record' he was born 5/7/99 he has been to all bar 5 games since, he saw (slept through) his first game 10/7/99 v north at glenelg (bays won) as a 5 day old supporter & i'll say while we're on this subject how much ALL the players take time to talk & play with him & other kids (even after games), especially mouse, pumper & richard douglas those three men are absolutely sensational with him & he was so excited when pumper invited him in to the circle to sing the club song after the premiership yesterday & with the league team during the year
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

i must say as a roughly 15 yo, mum wouldn't (no surprise) let me get on the train to melbourne to see them play north melbourne on one of those night games our teams would play in 'the national night series' for want of the right term around the country, when we lost by 5 points (i think),& we was robbed

The first game of footy I went to was in 1965 0r 1966[?] a PA V WA game at Alberton
PA thrashed them + after the game there was a heavy storm that flooded out Woodville Road
as I was driven home by our next door neighbour
The neighbour was a PA man and took me to some PA games in 1967
My sister took me to WA games in 1967 as well
In 1968 my big brother took me to NW games the year the legs got the wooden spoon.
Went to the changerooms one day at 1/2 time and I remember Robert Oatey chatting to the players
I ended up a NW barracker after that
1972 cheersquad member

I reckon Ive been to about 450 games of footy to see the legs
Ive been to about 150 games involving other clubs as well
So my intermittent total = about 600 games over 40 odd years as well
Nothing compares to the mighty BAYMAN however

To think I barracked for WA/PA as well in 1967

SPELLY that game I went to in the mid sixties at Alberton PA V WA
Recall WA only kicked about 3 to 5 goals
I wonder the year it was ?

But we bounced back five days later to knock give the Dogs a shelacking at the Bay, how do I know? It was the first time I ever watched a game at the Bay - down on holidays from the NT, Robbie Walter kicked a bag, my cousin was a player back then and he got me into teh rooms afterwards and I got all the players autographs. MY abiding emory was that follong a crowd of 10 000 + we went into teh club rooms afterwards a literally you could not move....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Bayman - did you go to all the country games too?

Lameroo (vs West) in round 6, 1999
Penola (vs South) in round 16, 1998
Whyalla (vs Eagles) in round 12, 1995 :?:

Plus all the curtain-raisers to the Crows and Port games at Footy Park :?:

I think it's quite amazing that there hasn't been a function/wedding you needed to go to (or involved in!) or been very ill at any time. That's the most amazing thing to me over 36 seasons.
