Re: R3 Eagles v West
Eagles got up in a nail bitter and West coughed it up after a good lead.
The Eagles have won 11 of the last 12 games and 15 of the last 17 at home.
West look like Jono Beech will play his first game and Redden may come back in for the Eagles.
I won't wait for the teams, Eagles by 6 goals.

Re: R3 Eagles v West
With West losing their last 14 games in a row, I can see a comfortable Eagles win here.
The Bloods last sung their song at League level back in Round 5 of the 2021 season, some 380 days ago come this Friday.
They also have not beaten the Eagles at Woodville since Round 2 of their premiership season, in 2015. This will be 2,562 days ago on Friday.

Re: R3 Eagles v West
I’m expecting a tighter contest compared to the 100 point loss against the Eagles last year.
Eagles by 60 points lol.
This will be our 16th loss in a row but according to our coach, there are plenty of positives……..,,
Some more useless stats.
2019-2022
Played 56 games
6 wins
49 losses
1 draw

How does it compare to the Sturt period in the 90's.

How does it compare to the Sturt period in the 90's.
Sturt 1989 to 1996 24 wins 146 losses, 8 spoons
Rounding
Westies 2 wins/year or 11% win rate
Sturt 3 wins/year 14% win rate
According to full points footy
Its arguable that Westies are currently the Worst SANFL team since our Iron Pyrites era of 1921-1925
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You beat me to it
South had a horrendous 57 game period from early 2008 to 2010 in which they won 6 games (with 2 draws), so can certainly empathise with West's plight at the moment.

Re: R3 Eagles v West
since westies premiership in 2015
played 104
won 21
so we win 20 percent of our games
no wonder we don't have any supporters

So many layers to the joy I experienced through that era.

Lemmey out is a blow for West. Troy Menzel out evens that up.
Eagles still look strong.
I will stay with them by 6 goals.

Lemmey out hurts but not as much as at the other end.
Both KPDs out Brand and Ryan.
Dan Menzel will run riot. Will kick a bag!

Not sure the Eags are operating on all cylinders as yet.. and the Bloods looked good in the first half last week. Could be closer than the pundits are suggesting.. but probably not close enough for the black red- red and black, tin banging faithful
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

The Eagles have looked a little suspect in attack apart from D Menzel. Getting Allmond and Goldy back will help. I notice Jimmy Toumpas in the reserves. He will be a massive in when ready. Clay Cameron is still out. Big loss. The ruck without Redden is an issue. They are trying out Jordan Lukac from last years U18's out. He looks promising but raw. We also have Ballenden there. He looks a beast but his role will be CHF.
I see WA have been hit with Health protocols. That's a worry for them. I think it will be a 2-3 goal game.
