Re: R3 Eagles v West
Wish Jordan Lukac well, I coached him in his junior years. Was always a standout and one goal at PHOS will always stick in my mind where we went from full back to kick a goal on the full oval solo.
That said West by 21, I have a gut feeling

I note that the Bloods seconds won comfortably, and sit atop the ladder as the only undefeated team.

Re: R3 Eagles v West
A couple of disgraceful posts here. Very little appreciation of the ups and downs of football.
I admit that the Eagles are struggling a little at the moment. Gelling and fluency seem to be lacking. Our balance seems to be a little off but injuries to our two first choice ruckmen and KP Clay Cameron have contributed to this.
The drain of talent over the last few years and the inopportune timing of the late drafting of James Tsitas and Jack Hayes (Magarey medallist and runner up) throws preseason planning in to disarray.
Last night the Eagles had only six players from their 2020 premiership team and 12 from their 2021 premiership team.
Last year the Eagles started 3-3, finished the minor round 13-5 and won the title. Sheedy is a very astute coach and his record shows that we will be in contention again this season.
I thought Sheedy's ruck combination of Ballenden (centre bounces), Lukac (first game) and Firns around the ground was an excellent reinvention of the Eagles ruck system that was used against Norwood.
Patience is a virtue, the Eagles coaching crew have loads of runs on the board, they just need a little time.

While yesterdays game wasn’t great by the eagles it was however a win.
There’s that old saying a win is a win is a win
Hopefully Redden ect will be back in the team soon

Westies deserve credit for yesterday's performance, much more competitive than last year. Good to see.

Your peers ain’t fooling this bloke
We’ve won another April premiership, you blokes will turn at rd 10, 5-4 or even 6-3 ready to push deep into Sept.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Re: R3 Eagles v West
Not sure why any Eagles supporter would be disappointed with the result yesterday.
Lost heaps of talent but will play finals again this year.
They are not as strong but that’s to be expected.
As Blacky said, try supporting our mob. 6 wins since April 2019!
We are on a 16 game losing streak and could quite possibly go winless this year!!

That’s #3 isn’t it??
Lot of work to come back for barely $500 a game

If it’s correct that stuffs up Port Adelaide’s covid list from the eagles seeing they listed both Menzel brothers

I think you will find it's something to do with his previous LARS replacement (10 -12 years ago). It just might have come to the end of it's life span.
Will have to wait and see what decision is made.

Think were forgetting about the job that came with it and the reason why Centrals said they would not continue with that arrangement.
That is around the $20k mark, Same arrangement. Same problem.
