A different character, capable of being very damaging and did turn games. Not sure his best footy is in front of him but all the best.![]()

Bumped into Jack Hannath at the Under 16's and 18's Grand Finals last night.
There would be no surprise, but he has retired from SANFL footy.
Pretty keen to get into coaching and commentary.

Agree it happens to all clubs problem is we dont have enough talent or depth to be losing 3 of our best players.
Going to need some good recruiting .

The Club is going hammers & tongs to recruit as many players as possible,
if you throw enough shtick, some will stick!

Re: retirements and upcoming signings
On a very positive note, we were well represented by 7 young men this morning in the U17 Futures match. We have some very good young players coming through the system. We admittedly don't have the depth of other clubs in the juniors but our top level all seem to have promising futures.gazzamagoo wrote:It's very early days, the season isn't over yet.southernbulldog wrote:Agree it happens to all clubs problem is we dont have enough talent or depth to be losing 3 of our best players.

Also, I hear that Big Phil and Gazza have started pre-season training, to fill any gaps we have next season

How about the club tries to keep hold of the league standard players that they didn't wantsouthernbulldog wrote:Agree it happens to all clubs problem is we dont have enough talent or depth to be losing 3 of our best players.

4 players in Sundays GF were at centrals and the club didn't want or try to hard to keep any of them.
The way the club treated every one of them is a reason why you can't recruit anyone. Ross would want to be a genius because so many people don't want to work with Paul Thomas (Coaches included) and the under-age program will continue to be a joke as long as Scott Stevens is involved.
Trying to recruit players who can't even make other teams reserves squad probably shows where they're at.

He did enjoy his time here and Jade seems to have a good thing going with the Tassie lads so hopefully he can convince him to come back to the clubSpargo wrote:Reckon there’s a few SANFL clubs in to Callow.JK wrote:Hearing he's done mate. I'll admit that Thommo's ways are maybe a bit "old school" & probably a bit too blunt for kiddies these days BUT he's been told to change his ways slightly by The Man & hopefully he will.beef wrote:How about the club tries to keep hold of the league standard players that they didn't wantsouthernbulldog wrote:Agree it happens to all clubs problem is we dont have enough talent or depth to be losing 3 of our best players.

Obviously you hate him for your own reasons & that's fair enough too but I think that, with both Meggsy & Mark Ross on board together & with some good recruiting, we'll see The 'Dogs in the 5 in 2023,
they showed in the second half of 2022 to suggest that.
BUT I also think that if We don't make the 5 next season, Thommo will probably have to go.

Central doesn't have enough big blokes, he'd be better off with Us!
