Does calling someone a smart arse count as a personal attack Drebin?

Some would say it does.

WHAT? Borat, TB and 1980 locked up. When did this happen? Hope they are let out by 7pm Thursday to confirm the bet!

Wasn't my response to you on another topic topsy - or should I say madcap?

P.S. - and yes it was an attack in response to your sarcastic belittling attempt at humour was it not?

Unlikely they'd be let out ever. Being that delusional, well, you'd also be claiming that Michael Jackson never interfered with children!

Last time I looked we were a final five not a final eight......

Tassie - I think you will find that this was made in reference to all other teams finishing above Glenelg so thus them being spooners - nothing to do with the final five

Your joking - this is a serious topic not a laugh-a-thon. He will be lucky to poll 1 vote Almost every player in the league looks in prime condition this time of the year but unfortunaltely that is not a criteria for MM votes!
Still a very amusing post!

Far be it for anyone to have an opinion which differs to your own huh?

That was my opinion CP. Seriously do you think Parry is a MM smokey as well? Based on what - he looks in prime condition at this time of the year? As I said so do lot's of players but past form and expectation is normally what you base a prediction on this time of the year and unless I have been mssing something Parry hasn't exactly been a contender in past years. I would have though there were at least half a dozen more South players that would be more of a realistic chance and the same goes for Weatherly at North as another example.

Thats the whole point, it doesn't matter what I think because IT'S SOMEONE ELSES OPINION!! Parry wouldn't be my choice, but I'm not about to accuse the bloke of "joking" or turning something into a "Laugh-a-thon" for his own belief .. For someone who as recently as today derided someone for a personal attack toward yourself, that post seemed somewhat hypocritical ... See which sentence you come up with from the following words - Cake, Have, Too, It, And, Eat, My ...

Yeah CP - where was my personal attack in my original post - I put up an opinion. I didn't attack the poster personally, make fun of his name (as was the case with me earlier today)- I just disagreed with his opinion as I did with bulldogproud who picked a player from my club. How was I supposed to know they were not taking the piss or joking because how many others on here would pick Parry or Weatherly as a smokey for the MM?

lol ok mate

Don't you have to go a whole season without being suspended to win a Magarey? Rules out Parry I would have thought.....

Hey Drebin. If they ban sarcasm on this site it will put a lot of us out of business. When I'm told sarcasm is the lowest form of wit I always reply "At least it is a form of wit".

No secret there mate. Is there a rule about only having one user name across all the forums?

Which reminds me of a story. Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram was diagnosed with schizophrenia a few years back and that diagnosis was somehow made public. Next Old Firm game fifty thousand Celtic fans stood as one and sung "There's only two Andy Gorams".

Sure Jeff Kennett would be horrified about making light of mental illness but one of the wittier terrace chants I've ever heard.

And he was only a Rangers player after all.
