The Gabba imo have consistently produced the best Test match pitches in Australia over the years that have offered assistance to pacve bowlers early then good for batting before offering something for spinners later.
My question is "Why have they gone with something so far different to what they normally dish up?". Quite simply makes no sense.
Obviously whatever pitch is produced there's no guarantees on how the game will pan out as there are many factors involved in determining it including the performances of bowlers and batters etc.
2 batters made over 50 for the Test, one being Head who was within an inch of being caught for stuff all in the 1st innings.
