Our local foodland has a "receptacle" for all used batteries. The button batteries are also very dangerous to young children as they often put them in their mouth and sometimes swallow.

Upon serving me the attendant asked my daughter for ID, I waited until my transaction had gone through and then asked why did they ask her when she clearly had nothing with her.
“Company policy” was the reply as they pointed at their “25” badge.
I asked “what if I was pushing a pram?” To which they had no response to.

I had similar when working at the Aquadome in Elizabeth. Pools adhere to the government Watch Around Water policy which says any children 3 and under must be accompanied and supervised in the water by someone 16 years or older.
Girl looking very very young came in with an infant, asked her how old she was and she replied 15, I say sorry you can’t come in with the baby we need some over over 16…..her response…’but I’m the mother’.
We decided it was in our best interests to let her in haha….she breast fed the child so she definitely was the mother haha
