Just like that the 36ers have announced the signing of their second import Jamaal Franklin to a one-year deal. He's a 6'5" SG who has previously played in the NBA with Memphis & Denver and played in China and the Philippines last season.

36ers announced Trey Kell as their third import, played for SE Melbourne Phoenix last season with reasonable stats.

The NZ Breakers have announced the signing of their second import Parker Jackson-Cartwright to a one-year deal. He's a 5'11" PG who played in Turkey last season.

Also the SE Melbourne Phoenix have announced the signing of Aussie PF Craig Moller to a one-year deal. He returns to the NBL after a couple of seasons away playing in Germany in 2021-22 where he injured his knee forcing him to miss all of last season.

The NZ Breakers have announced the signing of their third import Justinian Jessup to a one-year deal. He returns to the NBL after playing in Spain last season and previously played a couple of seasons as a Next Star with the Illawarra Hawks.

Also tonight in an early pre-season game the Brisbane Bullets beat the touring California Baptist University 75-48. For the Bullets 17 year old Next Star Rocco Zikarsky had 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks in just 20 minutes, Josh Bannan had 12 points and 9 boards and Isaac White had 11 points whilst Kendal Coleman top scored for the Lancers with 10 points.

In a pre-season game today SE Melbourne Phoenix beat California Baptist 87-62 with Gary Browne scoring 17 points for the Phoenix and Dominique Daniels top scoring for the Lancers with 12 points.

In a pre-season game tonight the Perth Wildcats beat the NBL1 West Select 111-93 in Rockingham. Top scorers for the Wildcats were Bryce Cotton and Jordan Usher each with 16 points and for the select team former 36er Caleb Davis scored 19 points.

In a pre-season game tonight the Tasmania JackJumpers beat Melbourne United 79-63 in Ulverstone. For the JackJumpers Sean Macdonald scored 20 points and Jordon Crawford had 15 and for United Campbell Blogg scored 18 points.

Last night the Perth Wildcats beat the NBL1 West Select team 99-86 in Warwick. Leading the Wildcats were Michael Harris with 23 points and Jordan Usher with 16 points and for the select team Rowan Mackenzie scored 12 points.
