Palmer to Murray Towns?
Eden Valley, Cambrai to Barossa?
Birdwood, Gumeracha to ?
Paracombe to somewhere down town?

Apparently not now. I wouldve thought a 10 wicket win in the A2 Grand final would have been enough to give A Grade a go.
Unless they've lost a lot of players?

Mt Barker will be short some players throughout the season which will effect a competive team for A grade
Jackson Lane- football commitments
Bailey Horsell - 1st 11 college Cricket
Chris Paterson - if he plays is only available every second week
Brad Horsell - isnt interested in playing 90 overs of cricket - would probably watch a few games of Baileys along the way
Simon Turk was available for 5 games last year
Lauchie Paterson - taking year off
So any given week Mt Barker will or would be missing 4 of their top 5 bats plus their spinner
as much as the club would like to have their best team week in week out its not reality. rather put a foundation forward that will succeed over time rather than throw a team up for them to come back down
when Mt Barker has a full team together it would be competitive - the club isnt doubting that - but the team will be weaker more times than not
So the fact is the club wants to make sure it can stay up long term rather than have a year and everyone realise its not the best thing and have to start again.
the process to get there is in place - will need another year - recruit couple more players to strengthen the team and be competitive every week

Creek v Cally. Creek too strong. Cally with no Nate Fitzgerald looks a much weaker side.
Lobey v Nairne. Lobey look very strong with the return of young Hackett plus Martin, Matthews and Weeks. No Hein boys for Nairne are fairly significant absences for the Razorbacks.
Maccy v Hahndorf. Hahndorf got up last year over Maccy towards the end of the season which really wrecked Maccy's charge for the finals. Hahndorf look reasonably strong now with the return of Hudson T-Walker to help Jenner with the bat, however Maccy still have quality with Barrett and did thump Hahndorf by 10 wickets last season. Maccy in a very close one.
Woodside v Strath. Woodside look a bit thin bowling wise with a few names i dont recognise however it is at Woodside where they are a very tricky team to play against. Collins, Bash and Johns will need to get wickets but with no Abbott's named for Strath expect Woodside to get up and Wingers to score plenty unless Gaiter can get him early.
