Yes I think it so
Top in D2 goes straight up and 2 vs 3 play off to go up is how I understand it
Now I assume top and the winner of 2vs3 play in a grand final?

7 of them will be a killer.

Agree with this.
Looks like new Junior system coming in next year:
Under 13
Under 14
Under 15.5
So only three teams instead of four.
Plus an Under 17 comp on Sundays (not sure like this, clash with ATCA Under 17"s etc??)
4th Grade to be optional, so expect maybe 8 clubs to have one potentially. This is great idea.

If theyre not playing senior cricket at that age theyre missing out on development. They get more out of playing senior guys than their peers. U16 is plenty old enough as the last grade before moving into seniors. The real good players shouldnt even play at this level.

They will be playing senior cricket, on a Saturday

Majority of kids play PC juniors Sat and ATCA Sun, plus those kids that have to play for school on Sat morning and they are playing 3 games over 2 days, at least at school everyone gets a turn so they are only bowling 2-3 overs and retire after a few overs. 16 and under kids generally play 2 games a weekend
