No real surprises there.

How does Lehmann escape the chop?

Hopefully saves face and retires.

I like Kelvy but just can’t take that next step, he’s been given 3 cracks at it; two by SA and one by WA.

Not a superstar by any means, but those two centuries in the Ashes in England in 2019 were big. (Only Australian other than Steve Smith to notch any that series.) Deserves to be remembered forever on that alone.

I can’t think of too many

Hamish Case might get a rookie deal

The batting is the same old heads making runs unfortunately
Tom Andrews, Conor McInerney

I like Kane Halfpenny, left hander from TTG. Maybe a rookie option

What has hurt is a couple of locals who were projecting well Daniel Drew and Thomas Kelly not taking the next step.

Some young bowlers taking wickets
Will Bowering, Campbell Thompson, James Reuther - not sure they are seen as 1st class options though

Unfortunately as locals they have to work twice as hard to get a gig as the interstate blokes. Kelly especially only was given an opportunity late in the season after making a truckload of runs in club and second X1. He's hardly had any time/opportunity to even take the next step.
Heard a rumour that Jason Sangha and Mackenzie Harvey are signed and sealed to come to SA. More failed interstaters clogging up the list!!

Saw some Victorian Premier Cricket media hyping that Mackenzie deserves another chance at First Class level.

690 runs at 49.29 for Carlton this year and would have missed games with the BBL.
