Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Gotta have a crack Wazza! I believe it will be the most even competition since Hahndorf kicked off its dominance 10 years ago. Both them and Nairne will come back a bit after being the best 2 sides by 10+ goals last year.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Good start on my tips! 4/4. Clamp the difference early in the GF rematch and Nairne couldn’t peg back their shocking start, they looked asleep!
This week:
Echunga by 20+ goal and Clamp to kick 10+
Lofty by 2 points over Nairne
Barker by 8 goals over Lobey
Onkas over Blackwood by 5 goals.

I know Echunga will improve and will be very competitive tomorrow, but 20 goal win?

How embarrassing, apologies Dutchy must’ve still been half asleep this morning. Hahndorf by 20 goals.

Werent far off Toto.
Any tips for weekend?
Hahndorf by plenty over Barker 10+ goals
Onkas by 5 goal
Nairne by 8 goal
Lofty by 6 goals
Going to check out the ANZAC day clash at Hahndorf, usually a good atmosphere and senior games.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Lobey surprised me and Nairne seemed to have wasted plenty of opportunities while Lofty were the opposite.
I’m going to piggyback on your tips Wazza. Agree with all of them.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Well I may have tipped Hahndorf, but margin clearly wrong. Underestimated Mt Barker, they were slow out the blocks trailing by 3 goals to 0 but they hit back with some good footy and had dorf on the ropes, but couldn’t quite hold them off, was good game but a little fumbly by both teams. A fitting ANZAC day clash.

Barker 9 goals and 3 points by half time
Then 1 goal 7 points after that
----------------------------------------------
Handorf kicked 3 goals and 12 points after half time

Very weird schedule. Looks like most rounds where 2 teams have a bye. Can only assume its so that everyone plays everyone twicemarbles wrote:https://www.playhq.com/afl/org/hills-fo ... 83be4cb/R4

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Apologies for my tipping hiatus, phone got hacked and lost all passwords.
Very tight competition as most of us predicted!
Blackwood over Echunga by 5 goal
Mount Lofty over Mount Barker by 2 goal
Nairne over Lobethal by 3 goal
Hahndorf over Uraidla by 10 goal

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Its been good fun watching Echunga's 6'10 recruit from the US play this year, he has been here 2 months and never touched a footy or seen the game played before but obviously a natural athlete kicking 2 of their 5 goals last Saturday, can certainly catch them

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Top 5 shaping up how I thought it might and very tight between 3-4 sides at the moment. Onkas have a tough stretch of games with the best 4 sides in a row. They’ll find out if they’re up to it pretty quickly. Lofty, Nairne and Mount Barker all very close and Hahndorf not unbeatable.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Halfway point of the year what does everyone think? Shaping up how most thought it would?
Courier cup Hahndorf v Nairne at Nairne should be a good one. Nairne doing better than I expected with the amount of outs they had this year and the reigning mail medalist only played the first 2… Anyone know when Knott is back for them?
Barkers best is outstanding, maybe consistency the issue but to be expected with a young side. Uraidla also outperforming what I had expected, should know better than writing the cabbage cutters off.

Not enough has been said on here, but what is going on at Blackwood?
They simply can’t turn their junior program and access to so many schools into a successful Senior program…

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Really? Elaborate?
Assuming because Clamp won’t play so they have 6 points to use instead of 2

So who was this recruit? Team sheet shows they played with Zero points?
