Is it the site malfunctioning that has stopped many regular posters from posting or are we in decline due to a lack of interest?

Yep, get it sorted, look forward to Friday's "Bands coming to Adelaide" by Gozu.

I'm only getting in from a shortcut saved to my favourites. Can't get in via google search.

It's the coding of the site, whenever Geelong loses by 10 goals it goes into self destruct mode. Luckily it doesn't happen too often!

The latter, hard to engage in any sort of mature footy debate without someone whipping out a tape measure and an appendage. Pity.

For the first time in about 30 years I'll be driving through Sydney this coming weekend.

Driving from the airport to Gosford on Saturday and back again on Monday.

Checked out the route and its only 11 mins quicker via toll roads for a cost of $32. Non tolled way looks a lot more scenic going over the bridge instead of through the tunnel too. (1 hour 22 mins compared to 1 hour 33 mins)

Any tips on what way I should choose or anything else that might help?

Is the train an option. I once took the train from Sydney Central station to Newcastle which was cheaper than the train from the airport to Central station.

Never had a need to drive in Sydney. Either taxi/Uber if there for work, or trains if on holiday.

The locals seem to complain about the trains but I’ve never had a problem.

Nah definitely not, the trains to Central Coast are not running more than when they're running and I don't want to be stuck in Sydney when I need to be in Gosford that night for the Grand Final.
Staying a couple of days this time so will have a suitecase or two and am not staying near the train station and want to have a look around on Sunday. Also would have to swap trains somewhere, there's method in my madness. Will be driving from about noon on Saturday to get there and come back a similar time on Monday.
Train was good last year when I went to Parra except I didn't have a ticket and had to jump a turnstile to get out of Parra station!

Sydney's train & ferry network is brilliant.

Their train network is amazing, maybe they don't know how good they've got it?

On train networks I thought the London Underground was brilliant when I travelled there but I remember my cousin who lived there telling me the locals used to complain about it, even an English cricket podcast I listen to whinged about it too, maybe they don't know how good they've got it aswell?

I drive a bit in Sydney and both the tunnel and bridge are free Northbound. Only get charged Southbound. From the airport up to Gosford you will have a couple of tolls minimum if you stick on the M1/M2.
If you don’t want to pay tolls then yeah, stick to the arterial roads and work your way up

Yeah, I was in Sydney for a Bledisloe game with the old man once & the Sydneysiders complained how bad their public transport was while we were lining up at Homebush to get back to the hotel. I thought they managed to get 50,000 people out of there pretty quickly.

I’ve done Homebush a few times by train and it worked really well, despite the little spur line for the last leg.

Yeah I've done Parra which is even further and it was great. The Central Coast is a different kettle of fish.
