But when Norwood go to the AFL as the 20th club it will be South v North.

Wouldn't PA (1877) v South Adelaide (1877) be the oldest SANFL fixture? :?

No. Our league side does not play their league side.

1878 NW beat SA 1 goal to Nil = oldest A grade teams in the SANFL
The NW goalkicker was Georgie boy Giffen , who was also Australia's and South Australia's greatest cricketing allrounder in the 19th century

When a change in the boundary system came in 1899 many players had to transfer to another club due to the area that they were living in at the time that the boundary changes occurred.

I dont blame the boundary or "electorate" system for Souths woes, I blame electricity!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Listened to most of it but haven't watched the game yet, but noticed South only had 215 disposals. (Legs had 308). Cant recall a possession count this low for some time. Only Dunkin (17) had more than 15 touches. Legs dominated the clearances 54-24 and were never threatened. A bit of a reality check for South after a couple of wins.
