Only heard part of 5AA after 8am and discussing donors to political party.
I missed Simms.
I heard Mali and then Tarzia rang in. Tarzia had a free kick, 10m out from goal and had an air swing

Speirs officially resigns from his seat.

Funny how now with the benefit of hindsight, he looks wasted in any past footage of him. :weedman:

There were some shameful antics last night on voting to changes on abortion law … not getting into either side of the argument, but FFS, at least conduct yourselves with some dignity during the debate and voting process.

Kouts is really good with numbers

Mr Koutsantonis told ABC radio on Thursday morning that the State Government had to step in, because the investment was too large for smelter owner Nyrstar, which signed off on the redevelopment on Wednesday, to manage on its own.

“The investment they’ll be making into Port Pirie is probably equal to or about the same size as their entire market capitalisation, so a company of their size wouldn’t be able to do this on their own,’’ Mr Koutsantonis said.

“Given that their market capitalisation is almost equal to their entire investment, they wouldn’t have been able to raise this money through private means. They need to have a government partner.’’

Problem is Kouts doesn't understand exchange rates

Nyrstar’s own website shows that the company’s market capitalisation, or total value, sits at 490 million euro, or $731 million, meaning Mr Koutsantonis is wrong by a factor of more than 100 per cent using the State Government’s previously quoted figures.

When queried on the discrepancy yesterday, a spokesperson for the Treasurer released a statement saying: “The State Government won’t be commenting on the specific details of the deal until financial close.’’ (Especially when you make such a monumental **** up)

The Tiser attempting to provide her a platform to back peddle this, but at the end of the day, she abandoned a colleague who was on sick leave battling cancer in which the colleague was going to come in via an user.

The idea that she was protecting her own pre-election probably means she's out anyway.

End of the day the only person acting with any integrity was Hood.
