Coaches' pay is within the salary cap. Would be impossible to work around that!dedja wrote:Learnt everything he knows at AthelstoneEagles2014 wrote:Jade Sheedy for new coach at Norwood?
Surprised he’s in the mix though as has been mentioned, his business was one of the main reasons he moved on from the Eagles.
Maybe something’s changed or Blass & co have dug deep.

Not in the SANFL, there's no soft cap.Doddy wrote:

Happy to be proven wrong
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Perhaps the Bays have a "Visy/ Cotton On" type deal with a couple of their new recruits, hmmm?PatowalongaPirate wrote:Reminds me of the 17 pergolas the Gowans' built at Kris Grant's house over the years.wenchbarwer wrote:Sheedy is a builder, yeah? Can see Blass starting some renos soon

The good news is that Sturt are also sponsored by Morris Finance. I look forward to seeing several of our key people engaged as consultants over the coming years.DOC wrote:That would be perfectly legal wouldn’t it?

Every club, not some, not most but every club has players employed by sponsors.
Perfectly legal and more to the point what sponsors do in order to help the club.

Re: SANFL 2024
I find it interesting that this is allowed (and by the way I think it should be, so have no problem with it) however there is the hypocrisy of not allowing any amateur club to do the same thing. In fact they threaten "Integrity Units" to check it's not happening.DOC wrote:Every club, not some, not most but every club has players employed by sponsors.

Re: SANFL 2024
And I think the Bays were against an increase in the salary cap (could be wrong), which would then make sense. If you have good enough employers the salary cap is irrelevant.Cheap Seats wrote:I find it interesting that this is allowed (and by the way I think it should be, so have no problem with it) however there is the hypocrisy of not allowing any amateur club to do the same thing. Any concern that CIBO will be rebranded Gloria Jean's?
Will the rumours match the quality with the change??
