Doesn't want to be identified as male or female, no dramas do whatever you want in my opinion, but why then play and earn money in a female only competition?

Agree, it’s a principled stand masquerading as an each way bet.

I don’t care but equally don’t get it … so, whatever dude, most people only care how good your footy is, but feel free to use that platform to air your views.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

After winning the Rising Star Award and the PAFCW Best and Fairest in season 7 of AFLW Hannah Ewings took this year off on personal leave making herself unavailable for selection. She's been traded to Adelaide for pick 39 in the upcoming player movement period.

Very disappointed to lose a player of Hannah's ability but football is just a game, I hope she finds the joy in the game again. Go well, Hannah.

Yeah seems an interesting one.
Whispers suggest after bulking up over the offseason, the club told her to get fit again and instead of doing the work she spat the dummy and took the year off and asked for a trade.

Clearly a talented footballer but going to struggle if she'd prefer to eat than put in the work.

When you say “bulking up” do you mean muscle or unfit?

It is an odd one.

I wondered where she was this season, assumed she'd succumbed to a knee or similar.

Was a stand out talent in a low talent first year Port team, be interested to see how she goes.

Why do the AFL try to manufacture rivalries using the old Victorian clubs in the AFLW? The Carlton/Collingwood season opener is a joke, 2 very incompetent sides getting national exposure is a poor advertisement for the game.
How bout the AFLW forge some new traditions and ideas like the GF replay as the season opener, give everyone a fair go, lets not make it a carbon copy of the mens that remains VFL centric and prioritises profits. Jump on rivalries that are current and genuine to promote the game. The womens game isnt about crowds and maximising profits, why dont they focus on working towards a fair competition. Focus on getting to a 17 game season, play the opp at home one year and away the next.
