Re: HFL Division 2 (Country)
Mitzthiras is a B grade footballer...played 16 games of B grade for Districts this year...no world beater...might play A grade....if short
Hills Country aint great....but picking up B graders......you'd pay $50 a game tops......even in country division
If u play reserves amateurs....your no great player.....Mitzthiras is a B grader......$50 a game player...not a cent more
terrible when rank average b grade players.....can demand good money.....when their b graders at best
real average players.....tell country club there good.....so out comes the fat cheque book.....for real average players

Mitzy is actually a very good young footballer, just very hard to crack into that star studded midfield at Dizzys. The money that's getting thrown around at Div. 2 Hills, if true, is ridiculous. Good on him though if he can get it I say.

A rumoured signing to one club would blow all other deals out the water - and then some.
Sam McKenzie has left Langhorne to sign with Echunga so another good get for them

Going on that logic, Tarrant Tomeo is a $40 player.River Murray wrote:Mitzthiras is a B grade footballer...played 16 games of B grade for Districts this year...no world beater...might play A grade....if short

It's a real B grade standard......so why would clubs pay much for B graders
If these blokes were any good.....they'd play Hills footy and not country.....but they take the easy $$ playing B grade standard
Happens all the time.....B graders head to B grade comps....and want to be big fishes in a small sea
In these low standard comps.....$50 is the most a game a player should get.....in my opinion

As a case study, Strathalbyn, in the higher standard of the GSFL, recruited B graders from the amateurs in Jake Stafford (2023) & Charles Durack (2024) but the attraction with them is that they were one point recruits, as is Mitzithras, and you can rest assured that Strathalbyn is looking after those two

As most who watch the AdFL would know, there's blokes in the lower grades who would easily play D1. Whether it's dollars, connections to the club or some other reason, they make those clubs better for their presence.
By saying all good players should only play in "good" leagues is one of the shittest of shit takes I've heard or read in a while. Ask big Sauce Jacobs about how much his only premiership means to him, he's still an onlooker at Flaggies games when he's not coaching.

Re: HFL Division 2 (Country)
Div1R is not a low standard comp and I would have thought the top Div 1R teams (shoc, GG, PortD, Glenunga) would match it for some country leagues. There is a reason country teams target Div1R players. Zero points and usually better than what they have.Lightning McQueen wrote:Geez..................you get around a bit....................can you please rate the country leagues...............in order from best to worstRiver Murray wrote:don't know Tarrant Tomeo so can't comment.....but lets be honest......this is an average comp standard wiseORDoubleBlues wrote:Going on that logic, Tarrant Tomeo is a $40 player.River Murray wrote:Mitzthiras is a B grade footballer...played 16 games of B grade for Districts this year...no world beater...might play A grade....if short

Would make an interesting debate whether a Div 5 team could beat a Div 1 Reserves team.White Unicorn wrote:
