Thibs is great to have as an assistant coach marshaling the defence, not great as a head coach

That only covers 'majority' ownership. Not sure on what % that gives them but 10b for majority is insane

The $10 billion is the total valuation of the franchise after Mark Walter bought a 51% share of the Buss family's 66% share, the Buss family retain a 15% share so Jeanie can stay on as Governor.

It's funny to think the Lakers were struggling a bit to keep up financially in the modern day NBA:

For example, the Lakers have likely the smallest scouting staff in the NBA; it was just not where they spent money. The cost of keeping up has been getting harder for a team that has to feed a lot of mouths.

The Phoenix Suns have traded Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the #10 pick in the 2025 draft and 5 x second-round picks.

Looks like more like a re-tool rather than a salary dump

Simons on an expiring contract, doubt he is there after the trade deadline (long way away). Can't play defence, best POA defender gone from the Celtics but I expect they have plenty of big moves in the works

Celtics under the 2nd apron now which gives them more flexibility with trades. They aren't done - that was the dump that they needed to do to free up some other things. Very intrigued with what their roster ends up looking like
