The sanfl did it back in the early 90s to replace pre season comp. I remember going to see Eagles v centrals on a tuesaday/Wednesday night play the grand final. Freezing cold. Not many others there.
Think it may have been 1993?

The one against Centrals was in '94. For some reason this game comes up on here every year or so.

Was a Tuesday night in gale force winds. The crowd would have been five figures though I reckon.

Woodville were quite good at winning the battle of who could care less! I remember Scott Salisbury knocking Richard Champion's head into the West Lakes Mall, the next couple of minutes after that were brutal.
