How do you expect West to win games when SANFL control the finances and won't allow them to spend the salary cap?

I don't, but it looks to me like they more overheads, less assets, and just over a grand in cash in the bank. Sounds about right?

Lost $144k in 2023 and $43k in 2024.

Depth = out of.

Eagles and South ???

The South club account has reported $58K and $54K deficits the past two years. However the 'footballers club' (ie the hospitality arm of the club) has generated surpluses over that period of $139K and $75K after accounting for a sizeable (ie half a mil) transfer to the club account, so depends on how you look at things.

Liabilities on the club account sit at around $3M.

Appears South generated $3.4M in gaming revenue last year compared to 800K for the Bloods.

Always take the sum of the 2 entities … clubs can account for expenses and revenue differently across them, but a like for like comparison is taking both into account across clubs.

Yep, ultimately the 'football club' and the 'footballers club' are one in the same, and in South's case the hospitality gains typically more than offset the football related losses.

Well we are no longer getting the “concerns as an ongoing business” statements in our annual financial return documents line we did 10 years ago.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Everyone has called you out for being clueless on this topic and your insults reflect how juvenile you are.

Keep up the good work.

There's a cost associated with winning.

It's "fixed" them in terms of there are no longer concerns about "ongoing viability" However it is tough market and all SANFL clubs have to work bloody on their business models to keep the income streams up.

Winning helps

$100K net in Merch income last year :D :D

Everyone ?? Lucky you cant check my PMs I guess. Im not the one being ridiculed is all I can assure you.

West arent as bad as people think. The losses are a concern but as stated they have a good asset position and hopefully Richmond Oval gets its development grant.

Let me know if you need me to explain how the financial(s) work.
