Indeed, but that brilliance was nearly surpassed by the horrible way the Dees played out the last few mins … the 50m gift for a goal, the easy shots that didn’t even register a score, and then the final humiliation, the 6-6-6 infringement with 8 secs on the clock to allow that final pass to NWM.

Not even the Blues could have lost that

The season isn’t over yet though, the Blues have the talent to top it

You have to lead by 9 goals first ;)
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Believe it or not we did similar to Melbourne in 92.
St Kilda were down by 46 at 3/4 time today and won whilst we were actually 47 down 5 minutes into the last quarter and kicked the last 8 goals to win by a point

Yep, have seen this match replayed on Fox thrillers.

Lemon time
Ess 10.14.74
Melb 18.7.115

Final score
Ess 18.16.124
Melb 19.9.123
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

I'd keep Butters over NWM if I had to pick one.

Outside run and carry easier to find than tough as nails terriers.

Not outside run and carry players who can hit targets, they are as rare as rocking horse shit.

Two top teams have blokes who can run and carry and hit targets its the modern game.

Even better if they can go in and out like Pendlebery, Dawson and Rankine

Ridiculous and bizarre finish   Nice to be on the winning end of that one after a very ho-hum 3 quarters. Give Nas 25% of the salary cap..

An unheralded player I've loved watching this year has been Max Hall. Football smarts, clean skills, hard at it. 13 score involvements apparently from 19 touches, just knows where to run.
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Yeah nah......real poor take.

Guys that can play forward, mid, back and literally win you a game of their own boot are as rare as a St Kilda premiership.

Without blokes getting them the ball they can't do any of that.

You must of missed NWM 6 clearances and 10 contested possesions to go with the outside class.

NWM could go inside if needed.

How is any club realistically going to trade for NWM? Unless the AFL change the trading of futures to go past the next year draft, there is no way any team can get it done unless they give up a star who is willing to go to Saints.

They have, you can trade 2026 and 2027 this year.

Pick swapping is expected to ramp up during the Trade Period and draft this year, with the AFL now allowing clubs to trade draft picks two years in advance for the first time.

The biggest trade move in recent times, by way of currency, Geelong gave up 13, 15 and 20 and future 4th for Jeremy Cameron along with 2 future second round picks ( one tied to Essendon ).

In effect 3 first for Cameron and 2 seconds. NWM will be there or thereabouts unless as noted above he has no intention of staying at all.

NWM not ranked in top 10 players of the comp, a couple second rounders should do ;)

Let's not get distracted from the fact, NWM is a former Ingle Farm Junior Footballer of the year. 8)

You’d think he’s realistically not going anywhere for a couple years. Wouldn’t be shocked if he signs for 2 and then puts the heat on St Kilda in 2 years with free agency.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
