Not sure that's my view, but go on...

Then we will really find out how prepared they are to release him
By all reports he has kept himself out of mischief throughout his time, I'm sure we won't be seeing him having a few bevvies at the local any time soon.
He'll be on parole for the rest of his life as well so he'll be required to report to Corrections and undertake drug and alcohol testing and he won't be permitted to enter a licensed premises unless he gets permission from the Parole Board so he'll still be under pretty strict conditions.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Yes, he was the key witness.
Well if he got the others put away for life then Im ok with it.

Are there any statistics around offenders re-offending after being released?

The stats would be high for offenders in general re-offending but I would have thought the chances of murderers re-offending with murder would be very low

Crimes of passion, rage etc where there's a moment of madness resulting in someone's death is one thing, serial killing is another and this is where the line on this one has been crossed for mine.

Yeah, after processing it all and it's easy to draw judgement when you're not in their shoes but if someone was forcing me to dis-member someone or aid in shoving live sparklers up someone's dickhole then I'd probably just nut myself if I was in no position to defend myself.

So there's acceptable murder and unacceptable murder? Acceptable murder is all good for a second chance?

None is acceptable. That's two of you who have deduced that from comments I have never made.

Anyone recommend a denet vacuum sealer machine?

I got one from Target but it wastes too much film, I used all the film up and took it back for a refund.

BTW, I nded up going for the Ryobi pressure cleaner, pretty rapt with it.

Mazda cx7. 15yo.

Gearbox cooked.... needs replacing.

5.5k second hand fitted.

8 - 8.5k new one fitted.

Options......

Dealer will trade in for 6k when fixed (why bother?).

What should I do?

Scrap it? 1k maybe? Transport to Adel? From PL. And buy a new one?

Roll the dice on 2nd hand gear box? Bit to spend on a 15yo car that only worth 4-8k ?

I personally wouldn’t spend another cent on it.
